Loading ...So I got my hair cut today…
For those who do not know how long it was here is a photo…
and how long is it now? About 2 inches from the top and hardly one inch from the sides and back :p
It was a tough thing to do getting rid of it. I had been planning to for 3 months now but always lacked courage as I would walk past the barber shop. Never daring to go in. Well today I did.
The barber was an iranian guy who thought I was iranian too but I told him I was a paki… he seemed disappointed. but not for long. He started touching my hair and said “You have such lovely hair… are you sure you want me to cut it all off?” in that sexy middle eastern english accent.
I replied with a simple “Yes. I am sure” Great thing about being severely myopic like I am is that you cannot see the barber ruining your hair… all you see is a big brown blur with a smaller black blur on top.
I didn’t even bother to look at myself in the mirror after I had put my glasses back on. I just quickly paid him and walked out fast. I kept touching my hair as I was walking trying to hide it from the public eye… The first thing I noticed as I stepped out… Was how different my shadow looked. “Wait… is that MY shadow NO FUCKING WAY!”
I quickly got on the bus hand on head trying to hide the new hairstyle. I walked in ran straight to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror… how bad could it be?
Well not bad at all!I couldn’t believe what I was seeing… I actually looked kinda nice. Much nicer than how I looked with long hair. I hadn’t had short hair for 2 years now you see… and 2 years ago I had more fat on my face (I get that from my mom…) so the short hair looked horrible. But now… it is a different story some fat though still there… most of it is gone.
You see my hair is soft and straight when long… but when you cut it short… it just sticks right up as if it had been electrocuted… No gel… no hair spray nothing… just straight up and man does it look nice or what. I would post a photo but a photo really doesn’t do it justice because you cannot see the individual hair fibres all standing up.
I will never go back to hair that long ever again. I will grow it a couple of inches more though to see how it looks but yes… long hair phase has passed.
