I still don’t have internet in my room and hence the lack of a more immediate update. As promised here are some photos of my room.

Yes I opened my laptop just for this photo…

My room key, phone, lighter, swiss army knife and two adorable breast cancer research ribons that I wear frequently because their pretty and pink… and I love boobies and oh yeah… cancer sucks.

As for the lighter I have not taken up smoking. I just get asked for “a light” so often I thought I’d just get one plus zippos are immensely fun to play with. That “click” sound they make… I never get tired of it.

Funny thing is since I’ve gotten a lighter people seem to have stopped asking me for one… but when they see me playing with one as I’m walking around I’ve gotten asked for a “spare cigarette” a few times. You spend your life saying “sorry… don’t smoke” when you don’t have a lighter and you spend your life saying the same thing when you have a lighter.

Though I never add “I don’t smoke” to the sentence when I say no it just sounds rude.

Here is the view from my window… yeah nothing spectacular but that’s ok. I only really use my room when I want to sleep rest of the time I’m out.

Ah yes the dustbin next to the bed… for obvious reasons. Or maybe not so obvious… let me give you a hint… I don’t get drunk…

And there is the legendary divet cover and pillow case… I doubt anyone else at my accomodation has such funky bedding….

As for what I’ve been getting up to… Well lets just say it sucks that my sisters know about this blog… I cannot be as open about my life at times as I could be if they didn’t.

But let me qoute a great man “There is a time and a place for everything… and it’s called college” had it right.

Edinburgh Is beatiful. So clean and peaceful. Hardly any black people/chavs or neds as scots call them around so you feel much safer walking around at night.

I’d like to think I’m not prejudiced but that really is wishful thinking. If I am on my own at night walking around and I see a black person walking towards me my first thought is “shit”.

Classes have started now… but at the moment we’re just doing easy peasy stuff I’ve already done… Apparantly the whole first semester is going to be like that… Oh apart from astronomy… yeah I chose astronomy and cosmology as my optional course for the first semester because it has the right amount of calculations, physics and philosophy.

I’ll take photos of other parts of my accomodation and put them up sometime soon.

To Edinburgh for 5 years. You know… uni stuff.

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland for those who do not know and a gorgeous place check out some photos here if you are interested.

Abdul will be moving his place of residence yet again. It has become second nature to me and does not bother me at all. With my father being in the army we moved from place to place every couple of years… sometimes less.

In the 19 years of my life I’ve prolly lived in about 10 different hmm *counts* yes 10. Edinburgh will be the 11th.

Where is the witty funniness gone you ask? I think it went with the hair… No I am serious… I get my hair cut short and my blog starts to rot… must be a connection there surely.

Anyway… I need to get back t packing now. I’m leaving in 8 hours and I still have not packed all my things… typical Abdul behaviour.
