Some of you must be aware of the recent incident whereby a Newsweek article was published claiming that according to “sources” a Koran was flushed down a toilet at guantanamo bay.
And you must also be aware of the impact of this news. Riots and anti US demonstrations took place in various countries including Afghanistan and Pakistan. Which also led to the death of fifteen people in Afghanistan.
And then there was the classic reaction by the mullahs in Pakistan who say they want to expel the US ambassador from the country…

Funny isn’t it. You have people in jail for committing no crimes, you have police who beat protesters solely for the reason that their raising their voices against injustice yet no one seems to give a two hoots about them.
Yet you get such a reaction from folks when they hear a book was flushed down a toilet (which it wasn’t in case you aren’t aware, yes you guessed it, it was all bullshit)

I travelled to New York a couple of months ago with my college. And yes they did single me out and ask me extra questions at the airport for having a middle eastern name. Naturally, I was very pissed off. But when I really started thinking about it… could you blame them for what they do if you get images of bearded people burning your flag, claiming they want to kill you all on your TV set, in the news papers, every so often.
The way some Muslims seem to react to incidents like these helps to tar their image further.
First they were all bearded suicide bombers… now their all bearded two year old suicide bombers whose diaper got stolen by the evil white bear.
